Police have set up trace equipment to Amanda’s phone as she continues to grapple
with the arrival of Kelli and her fears for Belle. Kelli acts up a storm with her
‘concern’ for her sister’s daughter. Why is she doing this to Amanda? Meanwhile,
a frightened Belle is madly trying to find her way out of the darkened room, but
there’s no way out. She’s clearly terrified as she sinks to the floor… Drew turns
up to the Beach House looking for Belle, but Irene hasn’t seen her – then Peter
calls and tells her the news. Drew and Irene head to Amanda’s – Drew feels responsible
– he let her get into the car with that guy – but keeps his guilt to himself for
now. He gives details about Theo, but is defensive when asked why he let her get
into the car with a stranger. Kelli asks questions ‘helping’ to get details to find
Belle – as Amanda racks her brain for who would want to do this and why… Kelli slips
out and calls Clyde – it’s all going like clockwork – let Belle scream all she wants,
but it’s time to make the second call, for the police to record… what is she up
to? As planned, Clyde calls again – he tells Amanda that if she fails to follow
instruction, she’ll never see Belle again – then hangs up. Everyone is shocked and
confused – why would he hang up before giving his orders?

McGrath reports that they couldn’t trace the call, it was too short. Amanda wonders
why Belle would put herself in danger by getting into the car with that dodgy guy
– then Drew snaps, feeling guilty, and tells Amanda she’s the reason she’s in this
mess. You’ve crossed so many people, anyone could’ve taken Belle! Dan takes Drew
away, his outburst not helping the situation – as he leaves he tells Amanda that
if anything happens to Belle, it’ll be all her fault! Dan gets the truth out of
Drew – he admits he and Belle had an argument about him flirting with another girl
to make Belle jealous, she got upset, decided to leave, then got into the car with
this Theo guy. She did it to get away from me. I’m the one to blame for all of this.
The girl Drew loves is in danger and it’s his fault… Meanwhile, Belle is yelling
out when there’s the sound of the key in the lock – the door opens and she comes
face to face with Clyde. Belle cowers in the corner… Back at Amanda’s, Kelli sends
a text to Clyde – ‘it’s time to get out of there’ – then she rejoins the concerned
family. The officer plays the recording of the last call, when ‘suddenly’ Kelli
hears something in the background – she asks for it to be replayed and points out
the sound of a train in the distance. The police head out to search.

Peter and Harper pull up at the darkened hideout – Peter calls out – there’s
no response. They kick down the door, but no one is there – it’s the room we saw
Belle in earlier. Peter hears muffled thumping and traces it to a cupboard in the
kitchen. He opens the door to find a terrified Belle. He unties her and she grabs
him – relieved at being found, the harrowing ordeal finally over. They return to
the house – Amanda holds Belle close – thank god you found her. She introduces Belle
to Kelli, her aunty. If it wasn’t for her, we couldn’t have found you. Kelli, the
hero of the day… Belle tells the police all she can recall, then decides she needs
to sleep. She hugs Amanda on her way out to head home, leaving Amanda stunned –
that’s the first time she’s hugged her in ages, and she has Kelli to thank for that.
Drew heads to the Beach House – he’s so glad Belle’s okay and apologises for flirting
with that girl, making Belle mad, then letting her get into the car with that creep.
Belle decides they need to sort this thing between them out, once and for all. They
both want to be together, but for that to happen, they’d hurt people and she’s not
willing to do that. Drew is furious – so you’re going to stick with Luc, even though
you want to be with me? Belle says she’s happy with him and not going to throw a
good thing away. She’s sorry, but that’s how it’s going to have to be. Drew is left
shattered.
Back at Amanda’s, she has invited Kelli to stay after hearing that the reason
she’s returned is to have her big sister back in her life. She wants to leave the
past behind them. Amanda is thrilled to hear this, and insists she stay at her place,
there’s plenty of room. Amanda’s just thrilled to have her sister back and her daughter
in one night! Amanda tells Peter about the car accident and Kelli getting injured.
It was horrific, and Amanda’s blamed herself for it every day since – but it seems
that Kelli has finally forgiven her and left it in the past. Little does she know,
but Kelli has met up with Clyde and hands him a wad of cash. He asks why she’s doing
this. Kelli responds: She ruined my life many years ago. And now I’m going to ruin
hers….’ Uh oh – Amanda’s in big trouble...
