Amanda is reeling from the discovery that she spent the night with Ethan. Ethan
begins to wake up but Amanda is already gathering her belongings and heading for
the door. Shocked and appalled by what she’s done, she races out of the room knowing
she’s just made the biggest mistake of her life. Ethan smiles to himself, before
ringing Kelli to report their plan worked a treat. Ethan retrieves his camera, revealing
photographic evidence of the whole set up.
Amanda arrives home in a fluster but tries her best to cover. Peter is instantly
relieved she’s back and begins apologising profusely for their argument. He insists
he trusts her and knows she would never cheat on him. Amanda is absolutely wracked
with guilt. He moves off, leaving Amanda to fill Kelli in on the terrible thing
she has done. She breaks down in tears, tormented by her actions. Kelli takes her
sister in her arms, assuring her that Peter never has to know what happened but
over Amanda’s shoulder, Kelli breaks into a devious smile – clearly enjoying Amanda’s
suffering.
But the situation only worsens for poor Amanda when she is later approached by
Ethan wanting her to steal drugs from the hospital. Amanda is totally thrown but
quickly realises she is being blackmailed when Ethan produced the incriminating
photos of her in bed with him. Amanda has no choice but to do what he says or else
Peter will be shown the pictures. Amanda arrives home to find Peter with an envelope
a courier has just delivered. Amanda quickly finds an excuse to get the envelope
and is horrified to discover a copy of the photos. Ethan means business and Amanda
knows she must comply with Ethan’s demands or else she will lose Peter forever.
Amanda confronts Ethan and it seems that she has no option other then to do what
he says. Kelli arrives at his flat – both satisfied their plan for revenge is working
perfectly.
Belle heads into the Diner kitchen to pick up a surprise cake for Lucas’ homecoming
from the writers’ camp. but Irene eyes her skeptically, knowing Belle’s feelings
for Drew. Belle tries to convince Irene is was just a phase and she is certain Lucas
is the right man for her – but Irene wonders who’s she’s trying to kid? Belle is
on her way out of the Diner when she runs into Drew and his new girlfriend, Lisa.
Belle plays it cool but she clearly has unresolved feelings.
Lucas and Belle are all over each other when they reunite. Things become a little
hot and heavy before Lucas brings it to a halt with the news they are due at the
Surf Club to meet up with Drew and Lisa for a game of pool. Lucas insists he made
the promise and won’t stay long. Belle begrudgingly agrees but knows this is going
to be awkward. Belle and Lucas arrive and Belle is all over him to rub it in Drew’s
face that she is happy. Drew reciprocates by showering Lisa with affection – but
all the while Belle and Drew exchange glances, aware of their underlying feeling
for each other. After an awkward game of pool, Lucas and Belle head back home. Lucas
retrieves a CD he made for Belle while he was away. Belle is touched by the gesture
but as she wraps her arms around him, it is clear her thoughts are with Drew. Meanwhile,
Drew are Lisa are snuggled together but his expression indicates he too, is thinking
about Belle. What will become of the star-crossed lovers?
