Belle and Drew - Members' Opinions

I think everyone would agree that Belle and Drew as a couple had their fair share of ups and downs. They seemingly broke up and got back together more times than any other couple in any other TV programme...ever. And in the end, it just didn't work. They broke up and Drew left the Bay. So what did BTTB members make of Belle and Drew while they were together?

'They are both feisty and passionate... and they have lots and lots of chemistry! I like that the flirty and fun nature they had to begin with still remains' (anaya1), and 'when they aren't together, they still have that spark! (x-Taylor-Rocks-x) 'What I really like about Belle and Drew is that their relationship doesn't get boring and it always looks like they're in love'. (rockagirl)

Belle and Drew broke up and got back together a lot during their time as a couple, with some members feeling that that was true to life and showed how close they were, and others disliking it immensely. 'They fight and make up like teens do'. (rockagirl) 'The writers have always got them together and split them up... together again then apart again... which has shown they have a great bond'. (anaya1) Others, however, had a different view. 'I don't mind Drew that much but Belle brings him down. They either stay together or they don't. They need to make their minds up'. (~Natasha~)

Overall, there seemed to be a mixed reaction to Belle and Drew as a couple. Some believe that they were 'the best couple since Kirsty & Kane' (tmg) and were 'definitely the most consistent written teenage couple around' (Jamey-Maria), while others 'could do with seeing less scenes of them slobbering all over each other and then falling out and breaking up over and over'. (Danifan)

One thing that many agreed on, however, was the final break-up scene between Drew and Belle. 'That break up was pretty spectacular'. (emmasi) 'What I loved about it was that we saw the break-up from both sides and understood both sides'. (jamiehugh) 'I have to say, that was the best acting I have seen from Bobby Morley in his entire stint on the show'. (Formerly Known as Josh) 'That was probably the best break up in the shows history!' (dnp52td) 'Their argument was one of the single most powerful pieces of television I have seen in a long time'. All in all, I think it's fair to say that some loved them - 'They are fun, and cute, and perfect for each other.' (Stevie) - and some disliked them - 'I've gone off Drew again since he got back with Belle'. (Danifan)
