Most Popular Character 08 - 3 and 4 points

I guess it's not quite thrilling stuff just yet, but seeing as people have went to the time of voting for them we should at least acknowledge them. Again, it's the same types of characters that scored 1 or 2 points. However, this page is made all the greater as Henry Hunter makes an appearance.

Charlie was just... well, Charlie. He loved Kim. Even if they were "just friends," it was still mad, passionate, obsessive LOVE! And he almost managed to achieve what so many of us have been wanting to do for such along time since. He almost killed Rachel. If only he had succeeded, perhaps he and Kim would be living happily together in his mother's house right now, instead of Kim being a broken hollow husk of a man who's only chance of survival was fleeing to the city with Kit. Kim should have chosen Charlie over Rachel. Charlie would have taken care of him. Taken care of him, forever...

Matilda's twin brother never really made an impact and we are amazed he made it this far. He left Summer Bay to return to boarding school and is rarely mentioned these days. Despite this being the third MPC, it is the first one he has made despite now being off-air in all the major countries. Maybe absence does make the heart grow fonder.

In the early days Lace and his side kick, Martin, were a hilarious double act. Lance was a gentle lovable character, who makes the odd re-appearance to visit his Mum, Colleen, his friend Sally, and his little god daughter Pippa. Whilst giving the appearance of being a bit of a dim wit, Lance could always be relied upon to come out with some words of wisdom at just the right moment. Some of Home And Aways funniest and most touching moments have involved Lancey, and his visits are always memorable.

The need for a police station in a fictional town is very great. With stalkers and baddies lurking everywhere, you need to have a reliable police service. Which brings me to Jack Holden. However, when it comes to his job, he's about as useful as a chocolate teapot. Thankfully, Lara Fitzgerald, or '' Fitzy'' as she is sometimes called, is on hand and usually manages to help in a crisis. She's not seen that often, but if it wasn't for Fitzy... Summer Bay would be an even worse place to live than it already is!

I'm assuming Roo's appearance on this list is due to a lot more of the early years videos becoming available. Roo was Alf's bratty, spoiled daughter. She hated Ailsa and made her life a misery. She loved Morag and was a willing participant in her schemes to bring Bobby down. Roo changed when she became pregnant with baby Martha. Originally she used boyfriend Frank as a cover and told him he was the father, even going so far as to marry him in order to cover the fact that the real father was rich boy Brett Macklin. On her wedding day she changed her mind and came clean, running out of the church. She gave birth to Martha with the intention of handing her over to the Macklins, but the Macklins decided they didn't want her because she was a girl, and Roo decided she wanted her either. Brett though had fallen in love with his daughter and promptly kidnapped her. When Martha was returned, Roo decided to do the decent thing and give Martha up for adoption. This saw a softening in Roo's character as she made amends with Ailsa and attempted to rebuild her life. Still in love with Frank, she attempted to keep her distance as he was now married to Bobby, but they wound up having an affair and left the bay together. Oh, and yes, it is THAT Martha.

We first saw Aden in 2005 when he started going out with Cassie. He returned in 2007 and, by most people's standards, is a complete bad boy. However, he has a growing fan base and there is more to this bad boy than meets the eye. I think Aden has the most potential to stay a bad boy than the others we have seen. Thats what I thought anyway. But now he's shaping up to be a little bit... not nicer but... for want of a better word... conciderate, trying to help a drunken Annie. Unfortunatly, he's in a bit of a 'The boy who cried Wolf (or booze)' situation.

Charlotte was the doctor who lived upstairs from Jude and Noah, was knocked about by her boyfriend, moved in with Jude, got pregnant with twins, lost them, got dumped by Jude, decided to go to Vietnam to work with orphans, and drowned on her final day in the bay. Life sucks.

RE-ENTRY

Lynn was one of the original residents of Summer Bay house and was the reason Sally came to live with Tom and Pippa Fletcher. Lynn would not leave the children's home without her. Lynn was deeply religious for which she copped a lot of flack from the other kids. She left after a few months to go back and live with her birth family, because the producers did not like her character much. Thankfully they kept Sally.

NEW ENTRY

Travis was the free spirited boyfriend of super doc Kelly Watson. He loved his boat and the sea and struggled to hold down a full time job. Despite their differences he and Kelly were very much in love until she decided to put her career before him and moved to the city. He got together with the more like-minded Rebecca and they briefly moved into the Caravan Park in place of Pippa. We learned more of his past when his brother and complete opposite, Joel arrived in the bay and we learned that Travis's father had never really liked him much. He married Rebecca in a beach ceremony and sailed off to go traveling around the world.

Kelly was ambitious but managed to fit in well in Summer Bay. She was the super doc of her era, a loyal friend to Angel amongst others, and genuinely loved Travis. Her biggest storyline came when she was accidentally pricked by a needle from a HIV positive patient whilst working in the hospital. Whilst waiting for her results, Ailsa was overheard demanding that she not be allowed near children in case she was affected. Ailsa went on radio to apologise to Kelly, who was given the all clear anyway. She eventually got a job in the city and realised that she couldn't have a career while still living in the bay. Originally Travis was to leave with her but at last minute he decided he couldn't live in the city. They split up and she left alone.
