The house on the Jackeroo Ranch estate that was used as Summer Bay House, was burnt down by bushfires in December 2002. Since then the estate has been sold for a total of $4.3 million, $1.6 million alone for the shell of Summer Bay House.

The new owners have renamed the ranch 'Pinyaro Valley' and were last heard to be planning to build 3 family homes on the estate and to restore Summer Bay House to its former glory for guest accommodation.

Due to the sheer size of the estate there is nothing visible from the gates that may be recognisable to Home and Away viewers, although McClymonts Road has been used in a number of scenes.
