‘An Eye for an Eye’ to Air in UK & Ireland: UPDATE
Channel 5 have announced that they will be airing the feature length Home and Away: An Eye for an Eye special in March on UK screens.
Created as an online exclusive episode by Australian on-demand service Presto, and released following the 2015 season finale, the 90 minute special sees the return of fan favourites Heath Braxton and Bianca Scott:
Home and Away: An Eye for an Eye centres on the Braxton family and will see the special guest return of two of Home and Away’s favourite characters, Heath (Dan Ewing) and Bianca (Lisa Gormley), to Summer Bay.
The storyline for the special event sits immediately after the dramatic season finale of the regular series as the popular Braxton family face their biggest challenge ever when Brax (Steve Peacocke) and Ricky’s (Bonnie Sveen) baby son Casey is kidnapped in a calculated act of revenge by Brax’s arch nemesis – Gunno (Diarmid Heidenreich) – the man responsible for his seeming ‘death’.
It’s a race against time as Heath, Ash (George Mason) and Kyle (Nic Westaway) frantically search for baby Casey while Bianca, Ricky and Phoebe (Isabella Giovinazzo) desperately try to raise the ransom money as the clock ticks.
Home and Away: An Eye for an Eye will air on Thursday 17th March at 7pm on 5★, immediately following the first-look airing of the season finale.
Despite initial reports to the contrary, the special will not be airing on the main channel on Friday 18th March, but can instead be seen on Channel 5 on Monday 21st March at 11:45am.
Irish fans will also be able to see the special following the news that RTÉ will be airing it. However the channel has strangely opted to edit the special into 3 standard length episodes, which will be shown in the normal timeslots from Monday 21st March.
