Rachel is suffering pre-wedding stress but Leah is on the case to get everything organised in time, starting with the guest list. Leah reluctantly gives Rachel her blessing to add Kirsty to the list and Kirsty is thrilled to be invited. However, when Kirsty reveals that Miles had already asked her to go as his guest, it takes Leah’s best efforts to cover her jealous reaction with a smile.
Aden gets suspicious when he finds a whisky bottle top in the sink he cleaned the day before. Larry may be hiding in the house and could have overheard him and Belle talking about withdrawing her life savings. Aden wonders – was it Larry who took Belle’s money, not Elliot? His suspicions of Larry’s whereabouts are confirmed when he finds Larry slumped on he floor of the house in pain. Begging Aden not to turn him in, Larry suggests they run away together with some money he says he won on the horses. Aden knows where the money really came from. Furious at Larry for lying, Aden starts to dial the police number ready to tell them where Larry is. Larry seizes this last opportunity to appeal to his son and makes a shocking confession that stops Aden in his tracks – Aden wasn’t the only one his grandfather abused, he did the same thing to Larry as well. Aden is completely stunned at this bombshell – what will he do now?
Miles is concerned that the ban on Jai and Annie seeing each other is making Jai even more withdrawn but Irene flatly refuses go back on her punishment. Bartlett, seeing no improvement in the bullying situation between Matthew and Jai, decides on a course of counselling and possible mediation between the boys – something Miles isn’t sure will work.
When Miles finds out that Jai is wagging class with Annie, and Matthew and his mates are missing from school too, he dashes off to find them. Meanwhile, Jai and Annie’s romantic interlude is interrupted by Matthew and his friends taunting Jai then pushing him off the pier before taking off. Jai is struggling in the water, his head bleeding, when Miles arrives in the nick of time and dives in after him. Annie watches on frantic with worry.
