If Gavin wants a fight, he’ll get one from Belle and Leah. What has Morag got in store for her family? Noel meets a fate not even he deserves.
Extended Summary
Nicole’s having a hard time at school, a laughing stock after news of her kissing lessons got out. With few enough friends to begin with, Nicole’s feeling very isolated.
At a loss, having been fired from her job as school secretary and lost Miles to boot, Jazz is feeling very down on herself and decides that the Bay is probably best off without her. Is this goodbye to Jazz?
Morag wants Alf, Colleen, Martha, Jack, Ric and Matilda at her house tonight, and every one of them is dreading what they assume is going to be a collective lecture.
Just as Ric’s lamenting the disappearance of Viv, Noel shows up looking for her. But this isn’t the Noel we know, this is a man scared for his life, convinced he’s being followed, who just wants to make sure his wife is alright. But Ric doesn’t know where Viv is, and he’s not interested in Noel’s plight. When Noel leaves, some heavy looking guys are waiting for him outside, and a while later Ric wanders outside to find Noel’s Jacket lying besides one of the vans, his wallet is still in the pocket. But there’s no sign of Noel.
Belle’s willing to apologise to Gavin for their confrontation if it means getting a better wrap for the Den in his paper, but Leah won’t have any of it. They decide to call in the big guns, to get a positive story about the Den into one of the city papers, thereby making the Coastal News look like the hack rag it is. When several newspapers’, and even a television show, show their interest, it seems Leah and Belle have won. Until somebody throws a rubbish bin through the front window of the Coastal News offices, with a note attached: ‘This is for the Den’.
