Extended Summary
The news of Tony’s affair with Naomi has widened the rift in the family. Matilda and Kit are horrified by his actions. Ric also cops the brunt of Mattie’s anger, after all – he kept Tony’s dirty little secret.
Kim has confided in Alf about his vision when he was electrocuted, and that his life flashed before his eyes. However, Rachel didn’t appear – the vision as was all about Kit and Archie – and so Kim’s concerned. Alf doesn’t think it’s anything to worry about, but suggests he talk to Kit. Kim later tries to raise it with her, but she’s too distracted with her family’s problems – Mattie and Luc have disappeared.
Down on the beach, there’s a huge turn out for Drew’s birthday party. However, he and Jules are only interested in two people turning up – Cassie and Belle. Over the course of the night, Cassie slowly thaws to Jules’ charms. Meanwhile, birthday boy Drew is a little drunk, and his flirtatious advances with Belle aren’t getting him far. She’s keen on him, but worried he’s far too drunk. Belle leaves him for a moment to help Mattie, who’s been drowning her sorrows with Luc.
When Belle returns looking for Drew, she finds him pashing some random skank. Belle’s furious and storms out. Later the Diner, Belle and a drunken Mattie are sprung by Dan, Irene and Alf. Dan is furious with Drew and Jules for sneaking out of the house. The party is unceremoniously shut down, and in the process Alf discovers Jules snogging Cassie – flamin’ heck!
Elsewhere on the beach, Tony continues searching for Lucas. Finally Tony finds him – passed out on the sand and not responding. Will Lucas be okay?
