Gypsy tells Jesse to stop acting like her dad. Justine tells Rebecca that she doesn’t care about her. Natalie and Joel agree to foster Justine. Duncan makes a move on Hope.
Extended Summary
It’s Duncan’s turn to have his youth group to the house. Alf is not overjoyed about it. Duncan in front of the entire youth group invites Alf and Ailsa to attend church with him on Sunday he is not pleased when Ailsa accepts. Duncan tells Hope later on that since Lachie died he has had questions about many things but the youth group and church have been of help.
Alf tries to get out of going to church on Sunday saying that there is a big fishing competition he does not want to miss. However Ailsa manages to make him feel guilty but he tells her that as soon as the service is finished he is leaving. Ailsa say that is not a problem. Nigel however meets Alf and Ailsa in the diner the following day and tells them that they will be at the church almost the full day because there is coffee and a family get together. Alf looks horror stricken. Duncan has Hope over to watch a Christian Rock movie and when he tries to kiss her Hope leaves angrily saying she has made a mistake about him.
Natalie and Joel discuss with Travis and Rebecca about their plans for their travels. Rebecca says the only reason they are reconsidering is because they think Justine will take it badly. Natalie and Joel talk about possibly fostering Justine although Joel is not particularly keen but is thinking about it. Rebecca and Travis tell Justine about their plans and she goes ballistic! She says that Travis and Rebecca don’t care about her.
Natalie and Justine have a discussion about the forthcoming trial and her feelings towards Travis and Rebecca. Justine softens and accepts that she has not been an easy person to live alongside recently and she understands why they may want to leave. She also tells Natalie that she would understand if she did want to foster her. Later on Joel and Natalie do decide they want to be responsible for Justine. Natalie also tells Rebecca and Travis that Justine is not as mad at them as they think.
Gypsy and Jesse talk about their plans for the evening. Jesse says what about her homework, which does not go down well with Gypsy who is fed up of it. Gypsy thinks about finding about job and earning money. Later when Jesse needs to go out and cannot find anyone to look after Rachel Gypsy says she will but is upset when she finds out he is going to the pub to meet an old friend and he did not ask her along. Jesse mentions she is underage and he knows how Joel would react if he did. Gypsy thinks that Jesse worries more about upsetting Joel than her feelings. Later Gypsy and Natalie have a mother-daughter talk and Gypsy moans about how she feels Jesse treats her like a kid. Natalie says he must really care for her, as he wants to do the right thing for her.
