Ryan proves to be a man of mystery. Alf can’t come to terms with Blake and Meg’s decision.
Extended Summary
Alf and Julia talk things through as to whether Meg and Blake should go away together for the weekend. Julia is OK with it and tries to talk Alf into it. Alf is doubtful and wants to talk things through with Ailsa.
Ryan pays rent to Sophie for the caravan.
Pippa and Christopher come home from Perth. Michael has given them a lift home.
Alf talks to Ailsa about Meg and Blake’s weekend alone. They don’t know what to do.
Michael talks a bit to Pippa about Randy and the problems with Fin.
Ailsa and Pippa talk. Pippa is worried that Sophie only wants to have a boy as her child. Ailsa also explains about Meg and her leukaemia.
Alf is out fishing at the beach. Fisher talks to him and thinks Blake and Meg should go away alone for the weekend to make them happy. He doesn’t agree to it as a headmaster but as a father since he has lost his soon Alan a while ago (music plays).
Greg asks Michael if Ryan can get a job at boatshed. Ryan is pretty good at working with boats and engines. Michael gives Ryan a go.
Nick and Greg do some training at surf club while talking.
Pippa talks to Sophie. Pippa tries to make Sophie realise that she has to accept her child even if it is a girl. Sophie gets annoyed and is convinced it is a boy. She explains she will call her child David Tom Simpson (emotional music).
Julia, Ailsa and Alf talk. Julia and Ailsa are OK with Blake and Meg going away alone. Alf says they will have to tell Blake and Meg now. It isn’t clear if Alf will let them go or not.
