Despite keeping the same theme, the first set of opening titles in 2001 saw the aspect ratio now changed to 16:9 as the show transferred to being filmed in widescreen.

Following the events of the final few weeks of 2000, Ailsa Stewart, Harry Reynolds and Judith Ackroyd were all remove following their respective departures. This made way for Brodie Hanson and Noah & Jude Lawson to be added.
