Mackenzie, or Mac, was a friend of Kyle’s in Melbourne. Brax and Heath found her at the address Adam Sharpe had told them Kyle was staying at. Mac initially denied knowing him, then said he’d left a week ago, so Brax and Heath left her their number. In fact, Kyle was still there. Mac tried to convince him to meet the pair but Kyle worried they were there to kill him as revenge for him abducting Casey and leaving him to die, so brought some muscle to their meeting. Mac called the police to break up the confrontation, then spirited Brax and Heath away in her car.

Mac explained that her father had been friends with Danny Braxton. When Heath wondered if she and Kyle were “special friends”, Mac replied that he had too many issues but also said there was a lot about him that Brax and Heath didn’t know. When they assured her they just wanted Kyle to make a statement to help keep Casey out of jail, Mac rang him up and tricked him into meeting them. She reminded Kyle that he’d always wanted to get to know his family and this was his chance. Kyle was less optimistic about Brax and Heath being interested, saying they were only there for Casey, but did agree to go with them, saying a fond farewell to Mac.
