Dr Aitken was Joe Morton’s doctor who was treating him for bone cancer. When Dane went to look for Lee in Queensland, Rachel looked after Joe and took him to his appoinment with Dr Aitken. When Dr Aitken found out that Rachel was looking after him she warned her about getting too close to the boy. Dr Aitken said that it was important that Dane was there and Rachel shouldn’t have given him an easy option by offering to look after Joe. She also said that she was ‘crossing the line’ by taking care of Joe which upset Rachel.
