Jonathan, or JT, was the brother of Brodie. He came to Summer Bay to look for her whilst wanted by the police for assault after hitting a work colleague. Brodie hid him in one of the caravans and sneaked food out to him but wasn’t sure about helping him and encouraged him to turn himself in. JT accused her of not being interested in her old family now she was settled with the Sutherlands.

JT asked Brodie to steal some money for him but she was unable to bring herself to do it, so instead JT ended up robbing Colleen’s mobile home. He then came across Hayley and tried to chat her up. When she bluntly rejected him, he got angry and hit her, resulting in her spending a night hiding from him on the Blaxland. Brodie confronted JT in the house and he came close to hitting her when Shelley interrupted. JT pushed Shelley to the ground and ran off. Brodie chased him down to the beach, shouting after him and attracting the attention of several other residents including Rhys, Vinnie, Nick and Will. JT ended up sinking to the floor surrounded by the group, begging them not to hit him. He was handed over to the police.
