Anna was the editor of the uni newspaper who was known to Hayley. Hayley and Josh ran into her on the beach where Anna explained she was there to meet someone and Hayley was shocked to discover it was Noah, who had arranged a date with her. Hayley reminded Noah of the meeting to discuss the play they were putting on for Alf that evening. Noah said they’d made plans but Anna encouraged him to attend and they went to the meeting together.

Hayley’s lingering feelings for Noah caused a bit of tension between the three of them. Hayley tried to sort things by inviting Anna to a DVD marathon but Noah, who was going to be out anyway, told her not to come, reminding Hayley they weren’t together anymore.

Hayley was uncomfortable again when Noah invited Anna to stay over at their place. Anna also met Dani at TAFE and gave her some advice on her new boss at the newspaper. Despite Josh interfering in an ill-advised attempt to defend Hayley, Noah managed to get Hayley and Anna together and sort things out.

Hayley later tried to do the couple a favour by getting Anna a job with Noah at the Drop-In Centre but Noah was uncomfortable with the idea of working with his girlfriend and persuaded her not to take it. The couple began to drift apart and Anna suspected Noah was still in love with Hayley. She broke up with him and asked Hayley to collect her things from the house.
