The daughter of Summer Bay police officer Ash Nader, Jessica lived in the city with her mother Rianna and younger brother Declan. She was first glimpsed in the 2006 finale when Ash returned home for Christmas and greeted his family. Shortly after Ash returned to Summer Bay, Rianna, Jessica and Declan drove down to surprise him. Since no-one in town knew he was married, Ash quickly persuaded Rianna that he was too busy to spend time with them and they should come back when he had a free weekend. He said a hurried farewell to his children but was spotted doing so by Morag, who questioned Rianna and learned who they were.

The following month, the three of them came to town to surprise him again since Jessica and Declan had wanted to see him. The children were playing on the beach when Ash came along, surprised to see them. They then ran into Martha, unaware she was Ash’s mistress, and persuaded her to join them for lunch at the Diner. Jessica made things even more uncomfortable by admiring Martha’s earrings, which Ash had bought for her. They went back to the city after lunch.

Since Rianna was pregnant when Ash decided to break up with Martha and concentrate on his marriage, Jessica probably now has another younger sibling.
