Rianna was first seen in the 2006 season finale, welcoming home Ash, who had been working in Summer Bay for some time. Whilst Rianna, Jess and Declan were visiting Ash in Summer Bay, Morag asked her who Ash was, as she had seen them talking. She said that Ash was her husband. Morag was shocked to hear that as Martha was with Ash at the time. Morag told Ash to tell Martha the truth, otherwise she would take thing’s into her own hands. Ash told Martha about him and Rianna.

A few days later, Rianna and the kids went to see Ash again. This was when her and Martha came face to face. But Rianna was completely unaware of the situation. Not long after, Ash told Martha that Rianna was pregnant. Ash returned home to be with her and their children.
