We first saw Nobby in the police station where he was being questioned about Belle’s assault (the police received an anonymous tip-off). He wasn’t admitting to anything, but it wasn’t long before Charlie and Jack persuaded him to tell the truth. He told them that he was stealing items from Belle’s room when she entered, so he attacked her.

We found out Nobby was being paid by Tim Coleman to keep his mouth shut for his real motive for being in Belle’s room. It became clear that Nobby was paid by Tim to retrieve Belle’s Camera memory card – which had a large amount of photos exposing the toxic waste at the development site.

Nobby was released on bail. Angelo asked him to meet him at his house later that night. Angelo had a way of finding out what Tim Coleman was really up to, so he asked Nobby to wear a special recording device under one of the buttons of his shirt.

Nobby met up with Tim and started asking him questions. Tim was on to him and didn’t let any information slip. While the conversation was going on, Angelo was listening at his house. Just when some information was coming to light, Belle called to Angelo’s house and he dismissed quickly. When he got back, he rewound the tape to find out what Nobby was caught and Tim had found the recording device.

We see Tim holding Nobby’s driving license and wallet, and he throws it into a freshly dug grave, presumably where Nobby’s body is lying. Another man fills the grave up with cement.
