Doris Peters was Summer Bay’s original busybody, though she only ever appeared in the Pilot Episode. She alerted Ailsa to the fact that Fletchers had arrived in town, commenting on how the children didn’t look anything look each other. In fact, she said, she thought one of them looked foreign.

Her view on Bobby also differed from Ailsa’s, thinking that she was best left alone.

When Pippa came into the shop, Doris introduced herself before shuffling off behind one of the shelves. When Pippa announced that her Tom fostered, Doris showed some exclamation to this, but to hide her embarrassment commented on the price of the liquid detergent.

She was never seen again.
