Mrs Sharp needed a BSL (blood sugar level) test done and she was due for her insulin. She was given the wrong insulin by Nurse James Dalton, who was under the influence of cannabis, which induced her cardiac arrest therefore she arrested before being resuscitated.

Mrs Sharp’s son Paul was waiting in the corridor when James was talking to Rachel near the front desk about the hearing that he had just had with Dr Olivetti. Paul overheard the comments and confronted James about the mistake that he had made with his Mum. Paul grabbed James’s top during the confrontation but he let go after Rachel told him to. Dr Olivetti tried to defuse the situation but James ran off and the situation left Paul fuming.
