Shawn was the father of Felix Bezmel, Sasha’s half-brother. He had no real contact with Felix until his mother Regina died, at which point he agreed to let Felix come and live with him and his family. He took in Sasha for a time, but only on a temporary basis until she went to live with the Walkers. Felix had difficulty fitting in with the family and was picked on by his new siblings, eventually running away to Summer Bay to be with Sasha. When the truth was found out, Shawn came to collect him, telling him to come to him in future and insisting things would be different. Sid spoke to Shawn in private, feeling Sasha and Felix should stay together, but Shawn was unmoved, refusing to let Felix stay with the Walkers or Sasha live with him, and took a tearful Felix home with him. Sasha visited Felix the following year and learned he was now getting on better with his new family.
