Skye was Vinnie’s cousin, who had been travelling since dropping out of school. She turned up to stay with him and Leah, having seemingly worn out her welcome with the rest of the family, but Vinnie wasn’t keen on the idea, warning Leah that Skye tended to be a bit “wayward” with guys. Skye managed to annoy Gypsy when she came round to collect her things, commenting on how her pregnancy was ruining her figure. However, she made an instant impression on Alex and after spending the day together they were soon making out back at the house, with Skye not batting an eyelid when Leah walked in on them.

Although she continued to spend time with Alex, it was clear Skye didn’t consider their relationship exclusive, as she chatted up another boy, Rick. After meeting up with some of the others teens, including Will, Dani and Hayley, she managed to get an invite to Hayley’s 18th birthday party. Despite going to the party with Alex, Skye ended up kissing a drunken Noah in front of everyone, upsetting both Alex and Hayley. Skye felt there was nothing wrong with her actions but managed to turn practically the whole town against her, including Vinnie and Leah.

However, Leah realised there was an insecure side to Skye when she admitted she had never felt able to live up to successful older sister Alison. Leah stopped Skye leaving town and took her on her shopping trip to show her what it was like to have female friends. She and Vinnie felt the lesson had come to nothing when Skye announced she was leaving town to go travelling with Kick, a boy she had just met, but she assured them it would be different this time and she was taking it slowly. She thanked Leah for her support and gave her the shirt she was wearing as a going away present.
