Carla was a journalist from Coastal Radio who wanted to ask Rachel some questions about the chopper crash. Rachel agreed to an interview so Carla asked why the victims were going to the city. Rachel told her that they were going to see a plastic surgeon about their burns. When Carla realised that Rachel organised the whole thing, she began to question if Rachel felt guilty that they may be alive if she hadn’t made that decision. Rachel then stormed off.

Carla then turned her attention to Alf. She arrived at his house just after Morag had given him a lecture about how the town listens to him. Carla said that he was the man that everyone looks to in times like these and asked if there was anything he would like to say. Alf then went on the radio and gave the town a inspiring speech about getting through it together.
