Dr Wilson was the Doctor assigned to Martha’s cancer and her first job was to tell Jack and Martha that the cancer was very aggressive. She suggeed that they read a book to help them cope before she left the room.

She informed them that they needed to hit the cancer with everything they had but when Martha asked about the baby, Doctor Wilson informed her that they should terminate the pregnancy. She says there’s no chance tha the baby will stand the radiology and that even the option of chemotherapy will most likely lead to their child developing abnormalities. Dr Wilson informed her that the treatment cannot wait until after the birth as by then the cancer would be too advanced.

When Martha was in for her lumpectomy she asked to speak to Dr Wilson alone and told her that she wanted a mastectomy. Despite having it, Doctor Wilson informed her that the cancer was more widespread than they thought and that she couldn’ dela her chaemoherapy but Martha insisted that she wouldn’t hurt the baby.
