The format for the 2012 season remained the same as the previous two years, a five second bumper providing the introduction to the show. For the first six months of the season this consisted of an aerial shot, similar to the one used for the latter half of 2011, with the Home and Away logo embedded amongst boats in Pittwater.
In Episode 5566 (23rd July 2012), the bumper reverted to the original one introduced at the beginning of the 2011 season, though the colours were tweaked slightly.
Only
a week later a new, slightly more elborate, titlecard was introduced in Episode 5571. In another aerial shot previously used for promos, this version sweeps over the Barrenjoey Lighthouse and then down to the logo again embedded off Palm Beach.
