The final change for 1996 occured in the very last week of the season, on Monday 25th November. Jesse McGregor, who had made his debut in the show back in May had now been added, alongside Casey Mitchell who had arrived in July, and Rebecca Fisher who had returned as a regular in August.

Having left Summer Bay under a cloud the previous week, Steven Matheson had been removed. The additional shot of Travis asking Kelly for his towel had also been removed, leaving only their credit shot.

There were a number of new shots and characters shuffled around to make way for the changes. Jesse appeared in a new shot with girlfriend Selina, Rebecca was given her own shot (with Chloe and Shannon making a cameo in the background), and Stephanie was moved into a new shot with Casey.

There were also new shots for Sam & Shannon, Marilyn & Fisher (their first one together following their marriage), Liam & Joey, Irene & Chloe, and Curtis. The boatmen that had previously appeared at the beginning of the new style titles were now used as a filler shot at the end of the sequence, whilst the original shot of the Home and Away signpost used as the titlecard was reinstated.
