Carly struggles to exorcise the ghosts of her traumatic experience. Fisher’s career prospects receive a setback.
Extended Summary
The Fletcher kids are very tense especially Steven and Frank since they cannot say anything to Tom and Pippa about what happened to Carly.
Sally wonders if there is something wrong with Carly when she hears Steven and Frank talking about her.
Sally asks Carly during dinner if everything is OK. Sally says she heard Steven and Frank talking about her earlier. Carly tries to act as if everything is OK.
Tom enters Carly’s room and asks her if she really is OK. She gets angry.
Fisher speaks to Carly during a class but she does not respond. He finds a disturbing drawing on her desk and questions her in his office.
Walter Bertram returns to school and everybody is happy about it except for Fisher who will have to stay in his position as deputy headmaster.
Carly dreams a nightmare about being chased in the woods by the man who attacked her.
Fisher writes a letter saying he will quit school if he does not get a promotion. He wants to be the headmaster.
Carly goes swimming and starts crying.
