Extended Summary

Frank and Tom walk into the house where the girls are waiting for them. Frank says the car is a right off. Lynn talks about “The Nutter” prowling around outside the house and a worried Sally asks to sleep with Tom and Pippa. Tom tries to say no, but finally agrees. He tells the kids to go to bed. Frank hasn’t insured the car and that Bob Barnett thinks it was deliberate. Pippa tells Tom that she doesn’t think it was “The Nutter” that lit the fire, as the Fletchers were in his good books. Tom says that man is crazy and will do anything. Pippa says “The Nutter” is predictable. Pippa remains adamant that it wasn’t the work of “The Nutter”. Tom asks who?

Bobby returns home to The Stewart House. Neville arrives home and tells Floss, that whoever lit the fire, “she wasn’t there now”. Floss thinks it “The Nutter”, but Neville convinces her that it’s Bobby, and that if she destroys the car, then she might destroy the prophecy as well.

Carly and Lynn are in their bedroom. Carly sits at the window, unable to sleep. They talk about Carly and Foley. She sees someone in the garden and goes to get the boys. They walk downstairs with a cricket bat and open the door. Nico has returned home from the hospital! The following morning Nico is having breakfast with them, saying he couldn’t wait to see them all. Mrs Pappas has said wait to the morning, but presumable a bit later than 5:30am. The kids head off to school. Nico goes to fed Dag Dog. Pippa applauds Carly for going to school. Nico seems to be making himself comfortable at the house and tells Pippa he’s going to spend the day helping her.

Alison is talking about Carly and Foley’s liason. Bobby implies Alison is easy, before Alison retorts that it’s better than not having to be asked at all. Bobby chases Alison away as she has a go at Carly. Carly thanks Bobby.

Nico sits at the table drawing on some money. Pippa walks in and tells him to stop doing it and gives him a pad of paper instead. He says he has drawn Mary on the note, Mary Elizabeth, from the home. Pippa tells him that his gran is all alone at home. Nico says that he had lots of friends at the home and that he has lots of friends at the caravan park, but that he is all alone at the farm.

Foley is taking his science class. He asks who had done their homework. Only Carly and Bobby have done so. Matt asks Foley where he’s going to get another Yum-Yum from. Tired of the sleazy comments, Foley decides to take the hardline approach in his class. Later, Alison tries to get out of detention by saying that she needs to help her father with the milk run. Foley tells her that that’s tough. Matt flings his book at Foley, who knocks it on the floor and tells him to pick it up. Bobby and Carly hand in their books and then walk out the classroom. Foley finds in his book a note saying “I’m sorry”. Neville waits in the corridor. Bobby walks over and asks what he’s doing here (good question: is this the only scene that Neville does in Summer Bay High?), and that he knows it was her that torched Frank’s car.

Alison and Alyce gossip, whilst Matt is the only one to have turned up for the Mikado practice and continues to try and rile Foley. Carly arrives and tells him that she’s decided to stay in the play. Foley tells her that he’s requested a transfer.

Nico is at Summer Bay House when the phone rings. He calls for Pippa, but she doesn’t come, so he answers it himself. Pippa and Frank arrive and Nico tells them that someone said the money is in the letterbox is in a funny voice. Pippa says it must have come from “The Nutter”.

Neville returns and Floss asks how the call went. Neville says that Nico answered and that he thinks everything went alright.

Carly talks to Foley. He gives her a kiss on the forehead before saying goodbye.

Frank is counting the money. It’s all there. Nico spots the note he drew Mary on and at first Pippa ignores on, before realising she gave that note to the McPhee’s early in the day. Neville is trying some tomato soup when Pippa walks in and says they need to talk.
