There is friction within the Fletcher family as Nico makes himself at home. Meanwhile, battle lines are drawn as Steven stands up to Samuels’ tyranny.
Extended Summary
With Nico turning up at the Fletcher’s unannounced in the middle of the night, Tom and Pippa show him to a caravan where he can spend the night. In the house, the family get together and talk about the Nico situation. Lynn says Nico is his friends, but Tom and Pippa counter they just can’t go handing out caravans to everybody. Lynn suggests a vote, Sally and Lynn vote, yes, but Tom suggests that they all think about it and have a vote in the morning.
Nico wakes up in the middle of the night and let’s his new cow into the caravan. Lynn and Carly talk about Nico. Carly says she just can’t handle people like Nico. Frank and Steven discuss Nico and Samuels. Steven says he’s changed his mind about Samuels after the way he dealt with Nico, and that he’s disappointed about the way he had acted over the previous few days. He says he’s still going to stay with the power pack however. Tom talks about how he agreed with Carly about Nico scaring customers off and Pippa says that they’ll just have too many kids if Nico stays. Tom and Pippa have already decided Nico can’t stay. Tom goes to see Nico in the morning and is annoyed to see the cow in the caravan has caused a mess.
Lynn is annoyed that there’s not going to be a vote about Nico staying as are Sally and Steven. Nico says that the mattress he slept on was really good and then Tom says he’s just told Nico he can stay as long as he likes, leading to shock on everyone’s faces.
Samuels goes to see why Steven wasn’t at training that morning. Steven says he was held up at home and Samuels has a go at his home life again. Samuels goes on about all the distractions, but Steven says that they are his family and he likes living with them and he’ll see Samuels in class.
Tom goes to see Nico in his caravan. Nico is all pleased with himself having cleaned the caravan up, but Nico says, as promised, they do need to go down to the farm and speak to his gran about clearing him living at the caravan park.
Fisher gets a phone call confirming him as headmaster of Summer Bay High and he tells a class, who are suitably overjoyed at the prospect. Samuels gives Steven info about a competition and Steven says it clashes with the wedding. Steven quits from the Power Pack and rips up the entry form.
Steven mentions he’s quit the Power Pack at dinner that tonight and Nico suggests that he could help Steven train. He also mentions that he’s Frank’s best man. Steven and Frank go up to their bedroom and Frank says it’s a misunderstanding and Steven is Frank’s best man, he just hasn’t found the right time to tell Nico.
Steven goes out for his morning run. Nico gets on his bike and acts as Steven’s pacemaker. They encounter the Power Pack and Samuels has words to Steven, but Steven continues training with Nico.
