Episode 361

Extended Summary

From last episode: Bobby and Steven arrive at Viv’s house. Viv’s father opens the door and tells them Viv isn’t home. Steven goes inside anyway and says he won’t leave until he has seen Viv.
Tom & Pippa wonder where Steven is. They blame his behaviour on Dodge.

Viv’s father tells Steven and Bobby that Viv is at Bible class. Bobby admits they made a mistake. As they leave, Tammy comes down the stairs from her room. When her father tells her off, Bobby says Steven has to go to the toilet to buy them some more time.

Carly borrows Pippa’s car without asking so that Adam can drive her down to a beach location. If Carly finds a good photo location for Nina, she might get a job with the Image project.

In the Diner, Ailsa is run off her feet because Bobby is at Viv’s house and Carly is with Adam. Ailsa phones Pippa to get Carly to hurry up. Pippa says she’s already left.

As Steven and Bobby go to leave again, Viv comes down the stairs with Tammy. Their father is shocked and demands Viv to leave the house. He doesn’t let Tammy go with them because she’s too young. When the three of them leave, Tammy gets told off for letting Viv out of her room and is warned she’ll be punished. Outside the house, Viv tells Bobby and Steven that they have to get Tammy out. She’s worried about what her father will do to her. Bobby’s plan is to wait until he’s asleep, then enter the house and get her out. Steven goes home by bus so that he can’t get in trouble with the police again.

Bobby and Viv talk to each other in the car waiting for the lights to go out in the house.

Adam and Carly get back to the car but they can’t go anywhere because the car is bogged.

Steven finally gets home and Pippa tells Tom not to be too hard on him. Steven tells them he just needed to be alone. Tom sends him to bed.

Ailsa calls Pippa again for some help. Carly still hasn’t showed up for her shift and Bobby left with Steven earlier. When Pippa hears this, she shouts out for Steven to come down and explain himself. Pippa has to go to the Diner but she asks Tom for a full report when she gets back. When she’s outside, she realises the car is gone.

Adam and Carly arrive at a bus stop. The payphone is broken. Carly is worried about what Pippa is thinking. She tells Adam she borrowed the car without asking. The next bus isn’t until morning.

Steven tells Tom he saw Viv’s father “in action” and insisted Tom didn’t check up until tomorrow.

Bobby tells Viv a bit about her (foster) father so Viv doesn’t feel so bad about hating her own father. Bobby goes to sleep until the lights go out.

Pippa helps Ailsa close and clean up the Diner. They talk about the friction between Sally and Dodge. Pippa rings home to see if there’s any news from Carly.

Viv sees that her father is going to bed and wakes Bobby once the lights have been turned off. They wait about 10 minutes and go in. Viv knows there is a key under the mat. They unlock the door beneath the stairs and let Tammy out. When they hear their father coming down the stairs they hide. When he opens the stair door and sees no one is in there, Bobby pushes him in and locks the door. They run out.
