Extended Summary

Carly is steering the yacht while Adam flirts with her. Bobby says how quiet Danny is and he tells her he wishes they could sail around forever and be left alone, away from everyone. Adam tells Carly he can’t work Danny out.

Viv arrives at the Diner and Matt asks her to the movies on Saturday but Viv doesn’t want to because of Matt’s “busy social life”. Matt can’t understand why his seeing other girls is a problem. Emma tells Matt that Viv isn’t interested and they exchange insults. Emma tells Matt that if she seems him hassling Viv again he’ll be wearing his milkshake like before!

Alf delivers some groceries to Donald. Alf is still having trouble with Emma. Donald tells him to be patient. He regrets not getting to know Alan so Alf should give Emma a chance.

Adam, Carly, Bobby and Danny arrive on an island. Adam and Carly go exploring while Danny and Bobby walk along the beach.

Matt leaves the Diner and Emma sits down in a booth with Viv and asks if Matt said anything else to her. Viv says he wouldn’t dare as he’s scared of Emma. Viv doesn’t like hurting people’s feelings but Emma says sometimes it’s the only way to get through to them; it’s time Viv learned to stand up to people.

Bobby and Danny are sitting on the beach and Bobby checks Danny is enjoying himself. He says he likes to escape. His dad loves the bush but always has to go back to the city. Carly and Adam reappear and Bobby asks what took them so long. Danny tells her not to give them the third degree so Bobby tells the others to help her push him in the water.

Stacey returns to her flat which has clothes strewn all over the place and takes a phone call for Adam; a Millicent Staples wants to book the yacht for Saturday. Stacey pulls a shoe out of the couch.

Adam, Carly, Bobby and Danny return to the Diner and Carly reports that Danny was great fun after he thawed out. Bobby teases Carly about her shortest platonic relationship ever with Adam. In the kitchen, Emma asks Viv if she wants to go out tomorrow. Viv says there’s a blue light disco on but Emma is talking about a club in Yabbie Creek. Viv doesn’t think Donald would let her but Emma tells her she has to stick up to him some time. Viv asks Donald over dinner and he says yes, assuming she’s talking about the blue light disco, and hoping it will help Emma to settle down. He suggests Bobby take Danny to the disco but Bobby is working and thinks Viv doesn’t want to get caught in a “tongue sambo!” Donald is horrified and hopes Viv will behave.

Adam comes home and says the flat is a pig sty. Stacey points out that the mess is all his and he promises to have it cleaned up before she gets home. Stacey leaves to go to a movie by herself and Adam returns Millicent Staples’ call.

Donald and Bobby are doing the dishes and Donald wants to know how Bobby got on with Danny. Bobby doesn’t think there’s going to be any great romance with Danny; he had plenty of time to make a move but didn’t. She admits she’s disappointed.

Danny is talking to himself / his father again. He likes Bobby and he likes this place. He doesn’t want to give it up. He can’t do what his father wants him to do any more. He begs him to leave him alone.

Carly serves Adam and Matt breakfast at the Diner and is amused to hear Adam has a charter from a rich old lady (they assume). Adam asks Emma for the bill and she bites his head off.

Over breakfast, Bobby asks Viv why she and Emma are suddenly best buddies. Viv tells her how Emma helped her stand up to Matt. She would love to have Emma’s confidence and thought Bobby would understand that but Bobby says Emma is only out for herself and doesn’t care about anyone else.

Ailsa hangs up the phone in the Diner kitchen; her babysitter has let her down. She goes on about the trials of marriage and motherhood but Emma has no idea what she’s talking about. Ailsa asks her if she could look after Duncan but Emma doesn’t want to let Viv down.

Matt and Adam are cleaning the yacht and Adam is looking forward to having the cash to sail out of this place. An attractive and glamorous woman appears, flanked by two bodyguards, looking for Adam. Adam is drooling too hard to speak. The woman is Millicent Staples.
