Morag tells Banjo the golden retriever to stop staring at her but gives in and takes him for a walk.

Steven arrives at the Diner and orders a burger to avoid Carly’s cooking at home but is surprised to find Carly is cooking at the Diner. They realise Sally is home alone. Steven calls the house from the burger phone but there is no answer.

Sally can’t find any shells on the beach. Danny talks to himself, saying he doesn’t want to do it, but Morag must pay and he can’t let anyone stand in the way. Sally overhears and asks Danny why he always talks to himself. Steven and Carly find Sally isn’t at the house and they worry about her. Back at the beach, Sally tells Danny how she used to talk to her friend Milco until Dodge told her she was crazy and might get taken away. She warns Danny he might get locked up! Danny picks up a big heavy piece of wood…

Morag screams at Banjo to slow down as he runs along the beach and she gives up trying to keep old of the lead. Banjo finds Danny and Sally. Morag eventually catches up and tells Danny to take Banjo back but Danny insists she will be glad to have him in the long run.

Donald’s cupboards are bare so he suggests he and Viv go to the Diner for dinner. He tells Viv he has a meeting and will be home late. Viv suddenly claims to have a headache so she will pass on dinner and stay home. Donald leaves and Viv immediately phones Emma.

Danny and Sally return to Summer Bay House and Sally asks Danny what his imaginary friend is called but Danny says it’s his father. He can’t talk to him in real life because he’s dead. Sally asks why he was talking about Morag but Danny makes up an excuse. Steven returns and tells Sally they’ve been worried about her. He thanks Danny for looking after Sally. Danny looks guilty.

Morag returns home exhausted from her walk with Banjo. She tells Banjo that dog meat is a delicacy in China!

Emma is at Donald’s, putting some heavy makeup on Viv. Viv isn’t sure it suits her and Emma tells her she needs to do something about her hair.

Bobby asks Ailsa if she can leave the Diner early to go and surprise Danny with dinner. She goes into the kitchen to start making a hamper. Donald says it’s good to see Bobby getting over Frank. He suddenly remembers he’s left his speech for the meeting at home. He arrives home to find loud music playing and Emma about to cut Viv’s hair. He throws Emma out and lectures Viv for lying to him. He tells her she looks ridiculous. Viv says she’s tired of being a wimp but Donald tells her that her gentle nature is something to be proud of. Viv shouts at him to shut up.

Sally blackmails Carly and Steven to let her stay up late because they forgot to look after her this afternoon. They remind her never to leave the house with someone she doesn’t know very well.

Danny is talking to his father’s photo, saying he tried to shut Sally up, when Bobby arrives at the caravan with dinner.

Emma is at the Diner complaining about Donald. Ailsa says Donald feels it’s his duty to protect Viv and tells Emma people are more conservative in small towns; she won’t get anywhere around here until she tones down her appearance. Ailsa still hasn’t been able to find a job for her. Emma says with a mischievous look in her eye that she’ll have to go back to school then.

Danny tells Bobby how great his father was. He’s been on his own since he was 14. At first he didn’t have time to make friends and then decided if you didn’t get close to people they couldn’t let you down. Bobby says she was the same way before Frank. However, Danny has come to the conclusion that he does need one particular person. He kisses Bobby.
