Pippa refuses to come to terms with Tom’s death.
Extended Summary
Sally is worried about Mullets lack of dancing skills and wants someone to teach him. Bobby is knocked out in the accident and has a gashed head. Pippa moans about Tom’s lateness. Marylin returns the key to Lance’s mobile home and offers to give Sally and Mullet dancing lessons. Carly calls the school to discover that Tom and the others left half an hour ago. Steven gives Tom mouth to mouth in attempt to resuscitate him. Mitch and Ben are stopped by Sophie. Ben takes Sophie and Bobby to the hospital and Mitch goes to help Steven but he stops trying to resus Tom as it’s too late. Ben tells Alf who calls an ambulance, he goes and gets Ailsa from the diner, they rush to the scene. Alf is in a state of shock as he watches them take Tom away. They take Steven and Grant to Pippa’s and break the news to her and Carly. Pippa doesn’t accept it and carries on with dinner as though nothing has happened. Steven shouts at her and Bobby goes to talk to Pippa who is being very practical about the whole thing. Sally, Mullet and Marilyn continues to learn how to dance in blissful ignorance. Ben and CArly go round to collect Sally who realises that something is wrong. Alf tries to get hold of Frank in the US. Bobby thinks Pippa is on the verge of a breakdown as she continues to do the household chores as normal.
