Steven realises the effect Tom’s death has had on him. Pippa comes to terms with the loss of her husband.
Extended Summary
Sally comes home with Carly and Pippa is still cooking dinner. Sally is crying on Tom and Pippa’s bed and Ailsa goes up to comfort her, she thinks that Pippa doesn’t love Tom anymore. Steven goes to see Viv and tells her what happened, Viv suggests he should see a Doctor but Steven is used to death with his Parents and Philip. Fisher comes over to Pippa’s house and stays with them for a while. Sophie is worried about what will happen to her now that Tom has gone and Carly things she is selfish for thinking about herself. Viv comforts Steven. Ailsa and Alf go home and Bridget lays into her for ruining the evening, Ailsa retaliates and tells her about Tom. Emma defends her mother to Ailsa and later Ailsa apologises to Bridget. Pippa serves dinner but no-one is hungry. Alf takes to Donald about Tom and how he’s going to miss him. Carly has another go at Pippa for being so practical about everything, Steven tells Carly that they need to give her time. Pippa waits up for Frank to call and tells him about Tom, she says to Steven that she feels as though she has been through this before when Tom got lost at sea and then had the stroke. Sally can’t sleep and gets into Pippa’s bed, she asks her if she’s sad about Tom and Pippa breaks down.
