Extended Summary
Alf’s given Adam a job as a cleaner. Carly, Bobby and Stephen decide not to see Tom before the funeral. Pippa talks to Frank again and tells him not to worry about not being able to make it back for the funeral. Adam and Matt help Marilyn make curtains. Carly and Bobby are stressed about the funeral; they blame themselves for Tom’s death in various ways. Adam wants to clean the diner but picks a bad time to ask and they tell him he is insensitive. Emma went shopping with her Mum for a dress for the funeral. Ailsa accuses Emma of being more concerned about the dress than Tom’s death. Bobby doesn’t know if she will be able to cope with the funeral. Adam is in a bad mood because Bobby and Carly called him insensitive, Marilyn thinks he should be more thoughtful. Alf reads at Tom’s funeral, there is a flashback of when they arrived at the caravan park, he talks about how much Alf meant to them and how he was the best mate he ever had. Bobby remembers meeting Tom and the family. Carly remembers a time Tom talked to her (flashback). Pippa remembers a time with Tom when she was pregnant. After the funeral Tom has a go at Matt and Adam for taking it upon themselves to repaint the sign for the caravan park. Everyone goes back to the house and Bobby and Carly talk to Steven about how he reacted to Matt and Adam. Steven goes over to apologise and invites Matt and Adam back to the house to have a drink for Tom. Pippa sits alone in her room, when she comes down, she talks to everyone and tells them nothing is going to change, she proposes a toast to Tom.
