Emma persuades Adam to apologise to Paul and cancel the fight. Carly and Ben find themselves in a very compromising situation.
Extended Summary
At the beach house, Murray blames Sally for his red dyed hair. Adam arrives home and is amused; being a dork must run in Murray’s family! Speaking of which, Paul tries to apologise to Emma at the Diner over the fight with Adam. Emma tells him it’s not worth it. She meant what she said about him being a macho jerk; he’s acting exactly like Adam.
Pippa, Sally, Ben and Carly sit down to dinner in the evening. Carly talks Ben into a picnic in the national park tomorrow. Murray comes downstairs with a baseball cap on and tells Sally he’s washed his hair four times but it’s still red. Pippa asks Murray to take his hat off at the table so he feigns a stomach ache.
Pippa and Alf discuss the election at the store the next morning. Alf doesn’t think Bobby stands much chance. Lorraine Jensen storms in and has a go at Alf for organising the fight between Paul and Adam. Alf defends the boxing match but Pippa agrees with Lorraine.
Grant arrives at the surf club as Paul is playing the piano and they apologise to each other. Grant agrees with Emma that Paul will get more respect if he just walks away. Adam won’t know how to handle it. Paul insists nothing is going to stop him fighting.
Sally tells Murray they’ll have to re-dye his hair. Murray runs upstairs with a tea towel over his head as Pippa arrives home with the groceries and Pippa is suspicious. Sally tells her they have to go to the library.
Ben and Carly arrive at the national park and park the car by a lake. They are looking forward to three hours alone together.
Emma barges into the beach house and tells Adam if he thinks the fight will win her back or make her too embarrassed to go out with Paul he’s wrong. Adam tells her it’s nothing to do with her and he’s not forcing Paul to do anything. Emma tells Adam he makes her sick and leaves. Matt tells Adam to admit the fight is over Emma.
Ben wants to go for a swim but Carly says they haven’t brought their swimming costumes. Ben convinces her to go skinny dipping.
Murray and Sally let themselves into the beach house to re-dye Murray’s hair as they know where the key is hidden. Sally is worried about getting into trouble but Murray says he’ll be in more trouble if his mum finds out about his hair.
Matt and Adam arrive at the Diner. Adam tells Paul the fight’s off and apologises for what he said about his old man. Paul finds Emma at the surf club and tells her Adam has called the fight off. Emma wishes Paul had been the one to call it off. Paul thinks someone has had a word with Adam.
Sally takes the dye off Murray’s hair but it’s even redder than before! Murray says his mum is going to kill him. Lorraine is at Summer Bay House having a coffee with Pippa. They discuss the fight and Lorraine says she can hardly put her foot down since Paul is 17. Sally and Murray return and Pippa asks Sally what happened to all the shampoo! Lorraine tells Murray to take his baseball hat off. He obliges and she is shocked.
Carly is concerned as two teenage boys show up at the lake. Ben assures her they can’t see anything while they are underwater and suggests they swim out further.
Matt is filling in for Carly at the Diner. Paul and Emma arrive and Matt tells Paul he’s got Emma to thank for Adam changing his mind! Paul is furious with Emma. He says she should have stayed out of it and he storms out.
Lorraine brings Pippa some replacement shampoo. She is too amused to punished Murray. They discuss Paul and the fight again. Lorraine says it’s so hard to know what to do when you’re on your own.
Adam is at the store and Alf is pleased to hear the fight is off. However, Paul bursts in and pushes Adam, telling him the fight’s still on.
The boys get into Ben and Carly’s car and drive off in it, leaving Ben and Carly stranded and naked!
