Sally is upset by Ben’s plans to cut the wings off her friends, the chooks. Emma sees that she is only hurting herself by rejecting Paul.
Extended Summary
Ben and Pippa plan the arrangement of their new vegetable patch. Carly pretends to have her hens night planned without giving Ben any of the details.
Whilst checking the chickens Sally finds one of them (Henrietta) is missing.
Discussing some real plans for her hens party with Bobby and Jane, Carly decides on the Yabbie Creek boat club. Meanwhile Grant asks Ben what he really wants to do for his bucks, eventually suggesting.. The Yabbie Creek boat club!
In the diner Ailsa tells Emma she can’t come to Carly’s hen party or even let her get involved with its planning. When Paul tries to apologise for not believing her about the exam paper Emma knocks him back.
Pippa and Ben discuss the mounting household costs she is facing alone without Tom around, along with her contribution to his and Carly’s wedding. Despite his offers to help out more financially and cut down on the wedding guest list, she declines as she wants them to have the wedding they want.
At the store Vicky stirs up trouble with Paul by asking after Emma, suggesting that fisher may have expelled her. Paul loses his temper with Vicky and Alf throws them out of the shop. Paul tells him he’s realised Emma was telling the truth all along, and reminds Alf that she always fights her ground when she’s innocent.
Jane and Grant discuss the pre-wedding parties for their respective friends, and realise that neither actually have any real plans.
Sally worries that Henrietta has gone missing, and is shocked to see Pippa serve chicken for dinner!
Ailsa praises Emma for her performance in the interview for her new school. Emma confides in her that she’s disappointed Paul didn’t believe her, and Ailsa tells her he’s realised his mistake and that she should give him another chance.
In the morning Sally is still worrying about Henrietta. She goes out to check the hutch again, but finds that they have all escaped and are feasting on Pippa’s vegetable patch. Both Grant and Ben both making fools of themselves as they struggle to catch the chickens. Grant suggests to Ben that they don’t make plans for his bucks, instead taking a minibus into the city and see how the night goes.
Bobby tells Carly about the function room at the sands resort and suggests having the hen’s night there. Carly encourages Pippa to join them on the hen’s night, despite her protestations. Ben apologies about the chickens, and tells Pippa he can ‘wing’ them to stop them from erring away again.
In the diner Steven tells Paul that Emma is probably still interested in him, and when they go to pay Emma asks him if they can have a talk. They make up as they walk on the beach, and Emma tells him she still plans to get revenge on Vicky.
Sally and Murray hatch a plan to prevent Ben from clipping the chickens’ wings.
