Extended Summary

Pippa sends Francesca back to her own bed after catching her with Steven in the middle of the night. Steven tries to claim it wasn’t his fault but Pippa won’t listen.

Alf arrives at the store the next morning with a walking stick after Emma knocked him off his bike. Marilyn thinks the accident is telling him he shouldn’t be cycling; it probably saved him from a heart attack! Carly comes in and asks how Alf is going to walk her down the aisle now.

Francesca is amused as Pippa drags Steven downstairs for another lecture. Steven tells her that Francesca has been coming onto him ever since she arrived. He storms out as Gina comes downstairs and tells Pippa there will be fights in a big family; that’s why she only wanted two children. Ben was a handful but she’s lucky with Francesca!

At the Diner, Angelo questions Adam about Steven. Adam tells him Steven is only interested in Viv. Grant arrives and Adam wants to discuss the bucks night. Bobby reminds them not to get too wild and Angelo asks what is with this Carly. Adam doesn’t think it’s going to be much of a bucks night but Angelo says Ben’s not going to get off that easily.

Carly goes to Ben’s caravan and finds him writhing around in pain. The doctor comes and thinks it’s food poisoning. Carly stresses about the wedding being tomorrow. The doctor prescribes some pills but says he can’t drink while he’s taking them. Ben blames the scallops Angelo bought.

Francesca is looking for Steven but Pippa wants to have a chat. She tells her about a boy called Ron she liked in school but he already had a girlfriend. He hated her for making everyone think there was something going on. She hopes Steven never looks at Francesca the way Ron looked at her.

Adam and Angelo go to the store and Angelo flirts with Marilyn. Alf appears and Angelo is amused to learn Alf got hit again. He thinks cyclists are the real danger on the roads.

Francesca catches up with Steven in the caravan park. She wants to talk to him but Steven isn’t interested. Adam and Angelo come along as Francesca tugs on Steven’s arm and Angelo pushes Steven to the ground. Steven does some karate moves on Angelo, knocking him down and giving him a black eye.

Back at the house, Angelo tells Carly he walked into a door. The reverend begins the rehearsal. Alf limps down the “aisle” with Carly but Ben has to run to the bathroom, knocking Alf down in the process! Later, Steven comes in and says Grant is taking Alf for a precautionary x-ray. Carly thinks the wedding’s going to be a disaster.

Steven hides out at Grant’s caravan in the evening as he thinks it’s only a matter of time before they realise who thumped Angelo. Francesca comes to see Steven so Grant leaves them to it. Francesca apologises for what happened. She thought she wanted to break up with Angelo, but when Steven hit him she realised she didn’t! She tells Steven that his girlfriend is a lucky girl.

Grant finds Ben asleep in his caravan after a couple of beers and tells Angelo and Adam that he shouldn’t be drinking while he’s on medication. He leaves again and Angelo tells Adam the night is only just beginning! Grant goes to the house and tells Pippa and Carly that everything is under control at the van. He thinks Ben will sleep like a baby. He leaves again and Pippa tells Carly she’s been worrying about nothing. Carly just wishes Tom were here to see the wedding. She keeps thinking of all the hassles she caused them and feels like she deserves for something to go wrong.

Angelo and Adam drive to a wooded area and drag barely-conscious Ben out of the car. They leave him on the ground wearing nothing but his underwear and drive off. Pippa and Carly finish cleaning up. Pippa tells Carly everything is going to be perfect tomorrow. A truck driver finds Ben staggering along the side of the road and asks where he’s from. Ben says Perth and the driver tells him he’s in luck. He puts him in the back of his cab and tells him they’ve got a long way to go!
