Extended Summary
Pippa talks to Ben in kitchen. Carly is there as well. She shows Ben a letter and that she will take a course in business.
Ailsa comes to Pippa and talks to her about the problems with Emma.
Maz rewrites her essay from her scratch notes. Adam walks in and she hides the typewriter etc and starts crying to make Adam feel bad. She explains she was failed due to her essay. Adam feels very bad.
Adam owns up about the essay and how it happened with the cleaning fluid etc. Maz is upset.
Adam try to cheer her up but she cries.
Steven comes home late. Pippa was sleeping in sofa. She wakes up. It is 1 o’ clock. Steven says there were some problems with Emma when they were out.
Pippa comes over to Ailsa’s house and say that Paul and Steven is home without Emma. Emma apparently left with some old friends in the city. Steven says they were some really rough crowd.
Alf comes home drunk from a dinner. Pippa and Ailsa explain that Emma isn’t home yet. Pippa goes home and Ailsa explains more detailed to him.
Alf wants to phone police but Ailsa talks him out of it since Emma is 18 after all.
At morning, Ailsa is upset over the fact that Emma is missing.
Ailsa get a phone call from the ones that interviewed Emma for the job. It seem she got the job. Emma isn’t home yet so Ailsa can’t tell her the good news.
At morning, Adam tries to spoil Maz to cheer her up.
Ben plans to have a squash session soon. He asks Grant to come along too.
Grant hear from Adam how sad Maz is because of the essay disaster. Grant realise Maz is only using Adam to get back at him and makes him think she really did fail on the essay even though she actually got a second chance by Fisher to rewrite it from her scratch notes.
Emma comes back and sees Steven. She is dressed as a punk with black hair and leather jacket etc. Everyone is shocked to see her like she used to be dressed.
Pippa is doing laundry with help from Ben. Steven says that Emma is back.
Pippa is still cranky at Steven since he came home late last night. Steven talks to Ben about it. Steven and Ben realise that Pippa is overreacting just because she is worried something might happen to one of her kids. Pippa is extra worried about the kids now as a result of losing Tom a while back. (Emotional music plays)
Emma walks in to Alf’s house dressed as punk. Ailsa acts cool. She explains that Emma got the job in tourism at the Gold Coast. Emma realise she can’t get the job due to her new black haircut! She is upset and very regretful.
