Steven misses school to visit Jennifer. Grant is concerned about Alan Stone’s classroom manner.
Extended Summary
Blake and Karen talk in the Diner. They are planning the night out with Karen’s new “partner”. They have problems since they have very little money. Karen sweet-talks Ailsa and they get some money.
Sophie talks to Steven. Steven’s head is still a bit sore. Steven reads an art book including naked women. Sophie gets offended and say he is a pervert! Steven says there is nothing disgusting with naked bodies and that it has nothing to do with sex.
Steven is out jogging and runs to Jennifer’s house. (Emotional music).
Jennifer isn’t home. Steven goes around the house and looks at veranda but no one is there.
Jennifer is at Diner with Alf and Ailsa early in the morning. They talk. Jennifer buys breakfast (Bacon and eggs).
Grant comes in and he is also up early. He meets Jennifer and they get to know each other a little bit.
Alan Stone talks to Grant in classroom before class. It is obvious that Grant don’t like Alan and his methods of learning.
Steven waits outside Jennifer’s house on beach. Jennifer comes home. They talk. (Emotional music).
She had forgot his name too. She goes into house, he leaves after a while and seem very happy. He seems to be in love with her.
Karen, Sophie and Blake’s class is about to start and Alan will begin to take over the class. Fisher introduces the class to Alan Stone. Alan starts class. Sophie says one little whisper to Blake about that Alan seems ok. Alan hears it and says, “Who spoke?” Sophie has to own up. He seems like a very hard teacher.
Steven comes into Fisher’s office as he talks to Grant. Steven says he has a headache due to hitting his head accidentally the other day. Grant feels the bump on his head. Steven is excused to go home. Steven don’t say the he got the bump out at Jennifer’s house. Fisher let Steven go home but is suspicious if Steven was telling the truth or not.
Alan gives class a lot of homework to be done by first thing tomorrow morning. And Sophie and two other students get to write 100 lines: “I will be more considerate of my fellow students”. Sophie speaks up and says she hasn’t done anything wrong really. So she gets 200 lines! Alan is apparently a very hard teacher. The class seem to hate their new teacher, which is totally understandable.
Blake, Karen and Sophie tell Grant how bad Alan is. Grant notices that the whole class seem to dislike him.
Grant tries to get them to have their hopes up. Blake reckons Alan is a sadist!
Steven comes home from school and goes out in a hurry since no one is home. He goes to Jennifer’s house and changes his school shirt to another shirt outside her house. And then he knocks on the house. He talks to Jennifer. She still doesn’t remember his name. He says his name again.
He says he wants to see if she has settled in ok. She asks for some help to move some furniture. Steven goes inside to help her to move it.
Karen has written a short poem about how bad Stone is. She reads it out to class before Stone enters. He enters just as she has finished reading it!
Stone starts another class with same students. Now it is science he will be teaching. He bosses the class around as usual.
Steven talks to Jennifer. She offers him lunch and wine. He accepts it. They have moved the furniture now.
Steven pretends that he is older and that he has left school a few years ago. He says he goes to tech now, twice a week. He lies about his age and say he is 19! She thought he was younger.
He looks in her photo album. There are photos of her paintings too. Steven says he likes her paintings.
Grant talk to Ailsa about Stone and that he doesn’t like him. Ailsa think it is early days yet.
Jennifer and Steven eat dinner and drinks wine. She offers him to come over again tomorrow. A few of her paintings will arrive from the city then. When she is out in kitchen he takes a photo of her from the photo album. (Emotional music). Steven is in love.
