Adam raids the state forest. Blake is consumed by guilt over his mother’s death.
Extended Summary
Karen talks to Blake about why he can’t get on with Haydn. Blake can’t stand Haydn no matter how he tries.
Blake tells Karen that Haydn is looking forward to be kissing Sophie up on stage in the school play to get back at Blake. Karen is convinced that Haydn is “Mr nice guy” anyway.
Karen apologises to Blake for being angry with him. Karen admit that Haydn was as much to blame as Blake when Blake was in Michael’s caravan to talk to Haydn a while ago when Blake tried to be a friend to him.
Karen wants Blake to get to know Haydn to see how he really is. Blake has to give it a try even though he doesn’t really want to.
Karen is worried if Sophie is interested in Haydn or vice versa. Blake explains that isn’t the case. He says that Haydn is only looking forward to the kissing scene just to give Blake a hard time. Karen is relieved about that.
Patricia Coleman is in the Diner. Pippa meets her and talks to her. Patricia likes the Caravan Park a lot. Pippa invites her over to her house. She say ok to that as long as she is not intruding. Pippa assures her that she is more than welcome. Patricia asks Matt if he can push-start her car since it won’t start (as usual). He is ok with that.
Patricia and Pippa come to Pippa’s house and have some fun about Patricia’s car that has to be push-started all the time. Pippa say that Ben might be able to fix the car.
Pippa find out that Patricia used to be a nun. Pippa is very surprised. They talk about it and Patricia explains why she left the convent etc.
Blake is thinking a lot of his mum especially now at a time like this since it is soon Christmas. Karen and Blake talks about it. Blake has lost his last Christmas present he got from their mother Margo. He is upset about it and it is obvious that he blames himself for his mum’s death even though she died of cancer.
Alf notice that Blake have been acted a bit strange lately. He asks if something is wrong. Blake says that everything is ok.
Blake is all dressed up and goes to the church early in the morning. He goes inside the church. (Organ music plays). The church is empty. Blake sits in the church and is praying. He misses his mother a lot.
Patricia tells Pippa that she will go to church. Sally asks if she can come along too. Patricia is ok with that.
Marilyn and Adam are up. Matt comes by and he will be making breakfast (bacon and eggs). Matt got tired of eating breakfast by himself at home since Grant is away with Kim for the time being. Adam asks Matt if he can borrow his car. Adam tells Matt an idea to give people a Christmas tree instead of giving away presents. Adam wants to lend the car to pick up the trees. Adam talks Matt into lending him the car. Matt is ok with it but only if Matt will be driving and that Adam must clean the car from the mess of the trees.
Karen has planned to have a dinner with Haydn, Sophie and Blake. Alf don’t like the idea that they will be there by themselves without adult supervision. Karen can’t see what is wrong with having dinner without an adult being there
Patricia and Sally come to the church. Blake is still sitting in the church and is crying a lot. Patricia talks to him. Blake sees Sally and rushes out. He feels embarrassed. Patricia goes out after him. She talks to him. Blake get offensive and talks about if God really exists etc. Patricia says that God forgives a person if he have done something bad if he really regrets it. Blake says that “one have to live with it if one have done something wrong”. Blake is upset and goes away.
Matt and Adam come to a state forest. Matt says it is illegal to take trees from such a forest. Adam is confident that it will work out ok. Matt will help Adam to take the trees.
Alf phones Ailsa to talk about if Karen and the rest can have dinner by themselves since Alf and Ailsa won’t be home before it is late. Alf and Ailsa is ok with it but Alf warns Karen that this is a “trial opportunity” and that they MUST NOT get up to any mischief (or otherwise there will be hell to pay of course!).
Blake comes home and Alf ask him where he has been. He says that he was out for a walk and is a bit arrogant to Alf.
Matt and Adam comes to Pippa’s house and Adam gives Pippa a Christmas tree as a Christmas present. Pippa are very grateful. Sally and Patricia come back from church. Sally is excited about the tree. Sally tells Pippa that Blake was in church and that he was crying.
Adam will have to clean Matt’s car soon.
Karen talks to Blake. Blake admits after a while that he was in church. He explains what happened there.
Blake blames himself very badly for his mum’s death. Karen says it wasn’t his fault. He gets extremely angry and shouts at her that he killed her. Blake is having a hell of a time.
