Luke fears that Roxy will regret asking Imogen to stay. Fisher offers to help Angel get back on her feet.
Extended Summary
Shane goes over to see Damian and the topic of conversation is about Angel. Bobby leaves and Pippa goes looking for Sally and finds her on the beach, where they talk.
At Alf’s store, Fisher is picking up his groceries and commenting to Roxy about Christopher returning home to the Ross house. As he’s about to leave, Luke comes in and tells him he’s just heard about Angel running away and Fisher finds it difficult to talk about it. After Fisher leaves, Luke asks Roxy how she got on with Imogen and she has can’t say because she hasn’t a clue.
Alf and Michael talk over a cup of tea, as Christopher settles back home with his toys. Back on the beach, Sally and Pippa talk about Dale. Sally tells her the hardest part has been holding back the tears because of fear of upsetting her and Michael. Pippa tells her that it’s alright to cry because it’s better to let it all out, than bottle it up. As Sally and Pippa walk back from the beach, Pippa tells her that she does want to celebrate Mother’s Day and that she will probably get upset but there will be other days as well, that will be upsetting.
Damian is still talking to Shane about Angel at the Diner and wants to find her. Imogen tells Bobby about her embarrassment over trying to steal her sister’s boyfriend and says she’s thinking of returning to Adelaide because that’s what Roxy would like, but Bobby finds that hard to believe. When Roxy comes in, Bobby tells her what Imogen said and Roxy says she doesn’t want her to leave. Pippa then comes in and tells Bobby that she found Sally on the beach.
Damian goes home and tries to borrow some money from Michael, so he can put an Ad in the papers to get Angel to return but Michael refuses, because money is tight at the moment. The phone rings and when Damian answers it, it’s Angel. She agrees to meet him but she warns him, he must come alone. Damian gets Luke to drive him to Crow’s Point to meet Angel but when he finds her, she’s furious that he’s not alone. He calms her down and tells her once again, she’s not in trouble and that’s it’s safe to return to Summer Bay. Luke takes Damian and Angel back to Fisher’s place, after learning that Angel ran away after hearing Fisher talking about her starting the fire. Fisher apologises to her and invites her and Damian to stay for a meal. Over the meal, Fisher gets Angel to talk about her life on the street and he’s horrified to hear what she has to say. He tells her he would like her to enrol for school but she’s not keen. He leaves, to go to the store, to get some ice-cream and Damian stays. At the store, he tells Alf and Bobby he’s thinking of reporting Angel’s mother to the authorities but Alf disagrees, saying, there are two sides, to every story. Bobby then chips in and says it’s the parents responsibility to care for their kids, whatever the circumstances. Fisher says he would like her to stay and finish her education but that seems unlikely. Alf then suggests he hurry home and hope she’s not run off with the family silver, to which Fisher remarks “Very funny”.
Roxy goes home and persuades Imogen to stay. She suggests they wipe the slate clean and start again but is Imogen laying a trap? Roxy goes to the Surf Club and tells Luke she’s persuaded Imogen to stay and he’s not happy about it. He’s convinced they’ve not seen the last of her little games. When she returns home, Imogen is nice to her, but as soon as her back is turned, she puts another plan into action.
At home, Pippa gets a phone call from the Coroner’s Office to say they’ve completed the autopsy and that they can now arrange the funeral for little Dale.
It ends when Shane returns home, to find Angel there and Fisher inviting her to stay, until she can find somewhere else and Shane’s not happy about it.
