Extended Summary
Jack admits he did a pretty stupid act and that he should have handed up the essay in the first place. Fisher agrees and Jack asks him to keep it between them. He is surprised and says he cannot do that: Michael and Pippa would be very interested to hear of his actions. Jack returns home and Fisher enters after him. Michael asks what is the matter and Fisher says he’ll let Jack fill them in. Jack tells them of his confession. After Fisher leaves, a furious Michael gives out to Jack.
Finlay wants to get something special but she does not have much money. Damian suggests she make something for him and then an idea hits her. She decides to make a shirt for him. She looks for Haydn’s shirt in the laundry and goes through the pockets to empty them; she discovers a torn out paper in one of the pockets.
Angel wants to watch a video but Shane has returned and she gives out to him: she has to do a report comparing the play to the video. She lashes out at him that while he may not care about his HSC, there are others who want to do well.
Michael is so angry with Jack that he feels Jack would have to go back. Pippa tells him the phone is free if he wants to call the Dept. He asks her does he understand why he is doing this. She says she does not and points out that it took a lot for her to give Haydn a second chance, and asks him why can’t he do the same for Jack, for her.
Jack tells Sally that he knows that he will be sent back but she tells him not to worry. Pippa overhears and asks what was that about. Sally tells her that Jack is worried he’s going back and Pippa asks what made him get that idea. He is not going anywhere and he asks what about Michael – does he hate him. She replies that he is not going anywhere and that Michael has not hated anyone as long as she knows. Jack is glad.
Jack is playing with a basketball out in the caravan park. Pip comes and joins him. She asks him did he and Michael manage to clean the barbecue without any fights between them. She is pleased to hear that there was no arguments between them and asks him why he set off the alarm. He did so because he was worried about the essay and admits that it’s a bit hard as everyone seems so perfect here. Pip tells him that no one is perfect. He thinks that the sun shines out of Damian and she tells him that he is not so bad either.
Nick asks Angel what is the matter with her and she says that she is worried about herself and Shane drifting apart. She is worried that they may never see each other again. Nick tells her she is worrying about something that may never happen and that she’d have to talk to Shane about their relationship. She is frustrated that Shane does not talk to her much. Nick mentions that he may be trying to tell her something, but he can’t get the words out. She says she is like this also. Nick tells her his parents never listened to Shane when he was young so he stopped trying talking to them, and it is now his habit.
Shane and Damian go to the beach house and Fin calls Damian to show him what she found in Haydn’s shirt. Damian asks Shane could he do the last delivery alone as there is family trouble. Shane agrees and leaves.
Angel and gives Shane a kiss on the cheek and has a talk and says that she’s worried that they may separate. She thought he would want to go to uni, but he says he is not as she is the brains of the outfit. He tells her the reason why he wants to leave school, so that he could support themselves and that they would be living together.
Damian is with Fin and she asks him does he remember the other day when he was edgy and then happy. He says not really, and says that it is not really proof. She knows that and shows him the proof on a piece of paper: she has called Yabbie Creek TAB and apparently Haydn had a win that day. Damian asks what she is going to do and she says she does not know…
