Trivia
The scenes of a young Rachel McGregor being led away by two young boys in a shopping centre, seen via CCTV, were questionably similar to the real-life adbuction and murder of James Bulger in the UK in 1993. As a result, this episode was not broadcast by ITV, and all references to the event from surrounding episodes were removed.
Alongside Episode 1954, this remains one of only two Home and Away episodes to never be broadcast on terrestrial television in the UK. Both episodes were later aired as part of a repeat run on UK satellite channel Living TV in the early 2000s.
