John is furious to discover that Joel is prying into his past. James tells Chloe that he wants her out of the house. Is Peta playing games with Will? Gypsy discovers that life is not a bed of roses with her adult boyfriend.
Extended Summary
Sally asks Jesse what is happening with Chloe and James, as James is sleeping on the sofa at Jesse’s. Jesse explains that Chloe and James are having problems and that James has moved out. Later Jesse talks with James about Chloe and James wonders if Chloe will ever stop being in love with Lachie. Jesse tells James he thinks he has acted like a “doormat” with Chloe as it was Chloe that lied and yet he was the one that moved out. This makes James think and later when Chloe meets James and says she wants James to move back in James says he will but she will have to move out as he does not want to live with a woman that is not in love with him. Sally goes round to visit Chloe and cheer her up with Chocolate Ice cream, Chloe says to Sally she does love James but cannot forget Lachie. She also tells Sally that James has always competed with Lachie and always come second.
At school, Gypsy makes snide comments about Peta and Hayley tackles her about her asking Gypsy if she still has feelings for Will. Gypsy says no; she is happy with Jesse. However when Jesse has to cancel a date later because Rachel is not feeling well Gypsy feels let down again.
Will comments to Peta that she never has him at her house and is she ashamed of him. Peta says she is not but says he cannot come to the house. Will tells Peta that they are finished and walks off. Later Peta agrees that Will can come to the house after School and meet her Gran. Peta at lunchtime pretends to go to the library and rushes home to her brother David and get his help in tricking Will in accepting that Gran is out during his visit. When Will arrives after school he is amazed at posters of rock groups on the walls of the sitting room. Peta says that she has a cool gran. David then appears back from a job interview in Yabbie Creek. He tells Peta and Will that Gran met a friend in Yabbie Creek and they will gossip for hours. Will says he will stay and wait.
Hayley asks John if he will be teaching Aboriginal History. John explains he only knows about Aboriginal culture by reading as a white family brought him up. The kids then discover he was part of the Stolen generation and wonder if they should apologise what was done to him in the past. Hayley later sees John in the classroom and tells him that she knows what is like to be taken from your mum. She says she wishes he were staying in Summer Bay, as his classes are fun! Later John is trying to fill an application form for a permanent job within the department but tells Fisher he has problems with one of the questions about his mother’s health.
Fisher explains that may not be a problem for much longer as Joel is trying to find his mother for him. John is furious about Joel interfering.
