Chloe refuses to accept James’ apology. Fisher reckons he’s been conned by Lansdowne. Rebecca and Travis want to leave Summer Bay. The bag lady thinks that Peta is up to some shady business.
Extended Summary
Chloe tells Irene about James behaviour in the diner towards Vinnie. Irene is taken aback at James’ behaviour. Chloe tells Irene not to say anything! She knows everyone blames her. James comes round to Irene’s later with a postcard from Shannon in Switzerland. James says sorry for his behaviour and says he was wrong to call Chloe selfish. However Chloe says she is pleased he was at last being honest.
Will tries to persuade Peta into making Annie leave. Peta says that Annie reminds her of her gran and she cannot send her back to the streets. When Will goes back to Irene’s he is told off for having taken the day off school. The next day Annie who tells her she won’t run away with the silver talks Peta into going to school. James goes round to visit Annie and refers to the jury duty and saying how good it is she doesn’t have to attend. Annie having no idea what he is talking about covers and thanks him for coming to see how she is. When Peta returns home Annie demands to know what is going on. Peta tells Annie that she has lived alone since her gran died in Poland and she needed someone to help get a medical certificate so her gran which everyone believes alive wouldn’t have to do jury duty.
Joel says to Tom that he has found someone for the bike and got $250 for it; he tells Tom he has opened a bank account so that Tom can save for car and that he and Natalie will add to it and Gypsy can learn to drive in the car.
Marilyn dreams about being in the movies and practices famous film lines. Fisher catches Marilyn and she tells him that Lansdowne offered her a part in the film. Fisher is angry as this happened before he had sold the film rights to Lansdowne. Fisher tells Marilyn she has been used. Fisher catches up with Lansdowne in the Diner and tells him that he thinks Marilyn was manipulated so that he would give the film rights to Lansdowne. Lansdowne says nothing and Fisher goes on to say that he wishes to withdraw the rights to film the book but Lansdowne says he cannot as he has signed a contract and he would be sued. Later Tom approaches Lansdowne in the diner and tells him about Justine is and that she would be good as an extra or for a small part. Lansdowne is not particularly interested until he discovers that Justine is accused of being the babysitter killer.
Rebecca and Travis are talking when Rebecca tells him how she hates how Justine is behaving towards her. She cannot manage to persuade Justine that she does not consider her to be guilty. Travis makes a suggestion that when the trial is finished they should leave the Bay and travel. He says they were only supposed to foster and take care of the Caravan Park for a few months and it is now two years. They should get away while they can. Rebecca is not convinced. Later when Justine and Natalie are chatting and getting along well, Rebecca reminds them of the time and offers to take Justine to school. Justine refuses and Rebecca asks her to be more pleasant. Justine walks away without saying anything. Rebecca later tells Travis that they should consider themselves after all and she wants to leave the Bay. Rebecca and Travis ask Joel and Natalie about fostering Justine.
