Alf shows Donald and Marilyn the trophy for the Fishing Frenzy competition when they are round at the Stewart’s for dinner. Alf makes arrangements with Donald to collect him the following morning at dawn (6am) and makes fun of Ailsa for arranging with Marilyn to pick her up at 9am.
Gypsy and Tom are pleased that Joel and Natalie are going to the city to stay overnight. Each thinks that gives them a chance to spend a night with Jesse and Justine. Natalie says she wonders if she should stay at home but Rebecca says she can cope. Before Joel and Natalie leave the Bay they call in at the Diner for sandwiches where Natalie sees Jesse and speaks to him. She says as a friend can she trust him to do the right thing with Gypsy – Jesse says of course. After Joel and Natalie leave Gypsy pretends to Rebecca that she is going to spend the night with a friend and sets off for Jesse’s. When she arrives she finds Jesse is going out for the evening for a night out with the boys. So she offers to baby-sit Rachel. When Jesse gets home he says he will walk her home but she says no she is staying the night.
Justine tells Rebecca that she and Tom are going to spend the night together in Tom’s caravan. Rebecca is not delighted because she thinks Tom and Justine are being underhanded about it. Rebecca hands a letter to Justine who opens it and is horrified to find her court date has been put forward and is in 10 days. Justine talks to Tom about how she feels about the trial and other things and cannot think of romance.
