Gypsy tells Jesse she wants a real relationship with him. Fisher outfishes Alf at his own competition. Vinnie refuses to admit defeat to Adam and Bonza Burger.
Extended Summary
Justine thanks Tom for being patient and returns to her room. Rebecca is delighted with Justine and Tom for being mature. The following day Justine is finding it difficult to work on an assignment and worries about her HSC. Rebecca tells her to try and concentrate and not to consider the trial. Gypsy is insistent about spending the night with Jesse but he is reluctant to because of the promise he made to Natalie earlier in the day. Vinnie and Sally arrive back as Gypsy and Jesse are in the middle of a heated argument. Vinnie and Sally leave the room quickly and when Jesse tells Gypsy she should go home she storms out in a huff telling him to call her when he is decided if he wants a girlfriend or not. Gypsy arrives home and Rebecca is surprised to see her back and asks what happened, Gypsy says she fought with Rosemary (the friend she was supposedly staying with).
The next day Gypsy and Jesse have a heart to heart conversation on the beach and Jesse tells her that he was happy that she was younger than he was and that their relationship could go at a slower pace. He doesn’t feel ready for a full on relationship so soon after Kylie and he leaves her to decide their future.
Alf arrives at Fisher’s front door at six o’clock in the morning, Alf is very keen but Fisher is not very enthusiastic. Alf suggests that Fisher is not such a good fisherman as he is and Fisher says they will have to see about that! They decide to have a friendly bet with the loser having to wash the other’s car for a month. When Alf, Duncan and Fisher get out on to the lake, Alf refuses to help Duncan and Fisher is very quiet. When Ailsa arrives at the lake with coffee for the men Duncan decides to join her and Marilyn. Marilyn is not thrilled with the fishing and seems to complain non-stop so that Ailsa decides to run her and Byron home in her car. Fisher is the first to collect a tagged fish and Alf is not thrilled! Ailsa is on the way back from Marilyn’s with Duncan when he drops a cassette tape at her feet. She reaches down for it and suddenly the next thing is they are off the road and into the lake.
