Fisher threatens to have the film stopped. Will Sally dump Vinnie? Jesse considers leaving Summer Bay for fame and fortune. Romantic jealousy erupts amongst the Summer Bay kids.
Extended Summary
The script for the film finally arrives by mail for Donald. He reads it and is shocked by his discovery. They have completely altered the story, he phones Paula his lawyer to find there is nothing that he can do. Marilyn is desperate to know what Donald thinks of the Script as she is hoping there may be a role in the film for her. Of course Donald hates the script, so Marilyn trying to be helpful phones Roger Lansdowne the Producer to make an appointment. She hopes that if Donald and Roger will talk. However Donald is not swayed by her opinion he thinks that film people are not to be trusted.
Vinnie has really landed himself in difficulties this time, as Jesse is not prepared to forgive him for kissing Bianca. Jesse thinks that Vinnie has shown his real character and that he is no longer a friend of his. Vinnie attempts to get Jesse to lie to Sally about Bianca’s claims. Jesse refuses. Sally tells Vinnie it will be a while before they are back to the stage they were in their relationship if ever. He has let her down but also acted badly over Angus and has behaved like a hypocrite. Bianca says to Sally that Vinnie was coming on to her but that she was keen on him.
Bianca believes that Jesse has natural talent with his acting and that he could leave Summer Bay behind and make lots of money. Alf decides to give Mitch a job in the diner but he would also be keen for Mitch to go to school. Hayley, Will, Gypsy and Peta turn up to the Diner and are stunned to see Mitch there. Will is not pleased Mitch is a newcomer to the town and he already has a job. They also start thinking that it would be a good idea to have a job; he sees an employment notice on the board advertising for fruit pickers. On phoning they discover a wage of $15 an hour. Hayley asks Mitch to join them and Gypsy is pleased at this. Will asks Sam to come after school they all go to the orchard. They are pleased when the farmer’s wife appears with a delicious afternoon tea as well as them going to earn money they think they have landed a good deal.
